Arms Library Closed for Renovation Through Late-April

Date
Monday, September 24, 2018 - Friday, April 26, 2019

Description

The Arms Library will be closing for extensive renovations with a temporary location in the Greenfield Cooperative Bank Conference Room. The library's wireless service will not be effected. You can still park outside the library and use the wi-fi.

The entire library will closed October through mid-April. Story Hour and Third Friday Open Prose Poetry will continue throughout the renovation.

The Arms will be open regular hours, Mon. 1-7 p.m., Wed. 11 a.m.- 7 p.m., and Sat. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The library will have limited services but will still offer interlibrary loans ordering and pick-up, a small browsing collection of the latest adult fiction and non-fiction; a small children’s browsing collection as well as new titles; DVDs; audiobooks; and newspapers and magazines. The library is encouraging people to make even more use of the interlibrary loan system and electronic media, and other local libraries during this time period. If anyone needs help with any of the systems library staff will help, of course!

The systems will be upgraded to the 21st century and interior damage repaired while keeping the charm of the original of the 1914 Pratt Building. Air conditioning and a new children's room as well as a new young adult area are part of the renovations.

Call us at our temporary number, 413-512-3389.
