July 10, 2019 Week 1 Why Earth?

Beginning with our own planet Earth we will explore the solar system, performing several experiments. Why can we live on earth? What does our earth look like? What are the gases that form our atmosphere? We will bring out the microscopes this week.

July 17, 2019 Week 2 Exploring Our Solar System

How different from Earth are the planets? What lives on Earth? Extremophiles and extreme habitats will be explored. Learn more about our solar system and the planets. How did the solar system form? Build a planet, learn cool facts about it.

July 24, 2019 Week 3 How Far Away are We Heading?

Build and decorate a soda-bottle rocket ship, and start your own food for space. Launch day is August 14, Week 6.

July 31, 2019 Week 4 Design Your Own Solar System.

Design you own planets and solar system. What are your own planets like? How many suns does your solar system have? Does it have moons? What creatures live there? Do people live there? What gasses does it have? Bring your imagination and creativity.

August 7, 2019 Week 5 Exploring the Galaxy and Beyond…Into the Universe.

We’ll explore nebulae, galaxies, pulsars and more. What is needed for us to stay alive as we travel years and years into space? We’ll work together to build a spaceship to explore the universe.

August 14, 2019 Week 6 Ready for Take-off!

Add the final touches to your rocket ship and 3…2…1...launch!
